Newborn sessions usually take place in the comfort of your own home and will last about 2 hours. This will allow for diaper changes and breaks to nurse baby throughout the session. I typically take photos in the nursery, master bedroom and living room spaces during newborn sessions. My photography style is more natural... I don't do props (besides the occasional basket or crate upon request), or any over-posed, un-natural positions of baby. 

To schedule a newborn session, first contact me so I can get your due date put on my calendar. Once baby arrives, contact me again and we will get your newborn session scheduled within the first 10 days after baby is born. The reason for wanting to photograph baby within the first 10 days is because baby is still very sleepy and tired out from birth during that time (they are much more cooperative and easier to photograph when sleeping). Newborns also grow out of their newborn stage rather quickly and we want to be sure we capture those newborn qualities before they go away!
